Ordinary Life During a Pandemic

You know life has gotten dull when the only thing worth taking a photo of is your clean kitchen.

I had prepared a three-page post where I vented and talked all about COVID-19, what life was like from week to week and how I felt about it…but in the end, I opted to post this instead.

Life is simple and pretty ordinary. We work. We go to the grocery store in masks. We prepare food. We take language lessons and do our own language acquisition activities in our rental apartment. We take masked walks in the park for exercise during the week to avoid the clusters of people who are everywhere on the weekends. We spend time with our friends via Zoom on weekends. And we wait. We watch the news, we read the news, and wait for it to finally tell us we can safely return to the place we were before. It’s been four months and our plans have changed. And I don’t have much more I can say about the situation without sounding melodramatic. So…enjoy this picture of a clean kitchen.
